Dear Friends,
Pixie Designs: Spirit of Beadcraft

For many of you, 2005 was ushered in with intercessory prayer and a sense of reflection. We live in global village where breaking news bring us the latest on people and events in ever increasing detail. On December 26, 2004, at 9am, I received a call from a friend two miles away from our residence informing me that he was outside his apartment together with his wife and others watching it sway because of strong tremors. Pixie Designs contacted many of its friends to offer assistance in contacting relatives in the affected regions and countries. We believe that many of you have already reached out in coalition to offer financial aid, expertise, partnership and cooperation for the crucial months of rebuilding ahead. Thank you for caring and making a difference.

During the past three weeks in our Intimate Pixie Christmas celebration we had the delight and joy of meeting friends like Ann in Amcorp Mall, Elizabeth at The Weld, Grace at her residence and Roselina in Subang. The feedback on this has been heartening and we intend to extend Pixie Passages, a service of a specialized appointment where we meet you at your preferred location throughout 2005. Please remember that you need to call us at least two days in advance before the desired date you wish for us to meet with you.

For our first promotion of 2005 we have designed a series of brand new designs based on our collective research on the arts of the period before the Renaissance and its emphasis on universalism. These designs focus on the creative balance in the perspective between the dynamic of universalism and nature, and we have concentrated on conveying the theme of "Life in the Light of Timelessness". The context for these works is grace. Much of these works were inspired by the influence of our friend and teacher Professor Bruce A. Little and his invaluable insight, inspiration and feedback.

What will this rose-quartz necklace speak of in time? This is often one of the questions we ask when we work on our creations. We have had numerous requests from friends requesting us to create a copy of an earlier piece they purchased. It is our policy not to re-create signature piece designs as we wish our friends to have ownership and "create" a story of what these designs mean to them. Our latest range of necklaces includes rose quartz, Burmese Jade, Amethyst, Citrine, Ammonite, Amber, and more. New pendants, bracelets, earrings, crystals, and rings have been augmented with other sets. It is like a homecoming of sorts in being invited to participate in Amcorp Mall's Spring Festival Promotion.
